Acrylic on Canvas
This painting is about the undying reserve of inner and outer strength and the capacity for love that helps fuel the fierce protection and selflessness involved when caring for a loved one who is gravely ill. Three years ago today I had a dream about death taking someone I loved away and the next day that person was in ICU fighting for her life. This painting is dedicated to her survival and the survival of that inner and outer strength that I saw in myself and that was mirrored in those who provided support and care during that time.
I love the work I have chosen to do! Having my own art practice has been an integral part of celebrating and processing my clinical work, allowing me “space” to contemplate my own life, communicate who I am in the world and bring shape to who I am becoming. Art-making, for me, has always been something I yearn for every minute of every day and I am so grateful to have it being such a presence in my life in all aspects of my work and personal life. Please join me this month in celebrating art and the richness it adds to our lives. I am honored to announce that I will be showing art in two venues this month, as well as celebrating my art appearing in the Jan/Feb issue of Branches.
1. Please join me in the celebration of womanhood and self- portraiture. I have a sculpture in this show. I was thrilled to be able to donate a photo of my art that helped this organization obtain a new pedestal for their gallery space through Power2give.org.

I will be showing a series of acrylic and watercolor paintings. I can honestly say that my work shown here provides one with a generous look into my heart and soul. I am excited to share part of my series of watercolor paintings inspired by my non-dominant hand, several mixed media works, and the acrylic process paintings that are part of my year-long creative renewal grant series. I will be selling my 3D art, including vision pens, heart and bird giving boxes, and mini hanging animal sculptures.
